When utilizing the BOM Insight module, users can define the ”Cost Priority" on a list-by-list basis for whenever a BOM is uploaded. This “Cost Prioritization" functionality allows admins to define a default “Cost Priority” setting for all users, and have it applied to all new BOM lists upon upload. 

Manual changes can still be made then on a per list basis for the “Cost Prioritization” in their specific lists during their upload or by clicking to update their price source priorities after BOM creation.

Cost Prioritization settings are accessed by admins in the System Settings. Click on System Settings from the profile dropdown and then click on Cost Prioritization in the left navigation bar. You can then set the account-level preferred prioritization for BOM price sourcing.

Upload Default Cost Prioritization

When your users upload a list into BOM Insight, they will see the text, “Default Cost Prioritization settings are set by Admin and have been applied” on the Cost Prioritization tab. This text will show when either uploading a BOM or editing the Price Source Priority page.
