Supplyframe's new Sourcing module provides participating customers a new way to manage complex BOMs and Demands all in one place.
Sourcing will allow you to cost part lists directly within DSI, provide analysis, and take action on specific parts to directly create customized RFQs.
Sourcing is composed of four sections:
Parts List
The default view in Sourcing, is the Parts List page, which allows you to action on line items, and send specific line items to a new RFQ:
At the top-left, you'll see your project's graph based timeline, reflecting your due date:
The top-right of your project will provide an a Sourcing cost breakdown:
Click into any part of the cost breakdown to open the BOM Cost side panel with a more detailed breakdown of the BOMs and Demands within your Sourcing project:
On the parts list itself, you can adjust your quantities per break on this page via the individual quantity boxes:
Highlighted in blue within the price box, you'll see your selected price option:
Clicking onto the pricing button will open up the pricing module, where you can switch your originally selected price source between Contract Pricing, Purchase History, Quote History, Specific Pricing and Web Pricing:
The 'Price Analysis' in the pricing module will give you a quick pick area across the different price source options for some of the best choices in your Sourcing project:
Scrolling to the far end of your Sourcing project, you'll see a 'Status' section for each line item:
Clicking into any option in the 'Status' cell will open up the Status side panel, which will allow you to adjust your Line Item Assignment, the Line Item Status, and your Tags:
After working through your Parts List, you can select multiple individual line items to immediately create a new RFQ via the 'Send to RFQ' button on the top-left of the page:
Overview
The Overview tab allows for a top-level view of your entire Sourcing project:
You'll see your chart breakdowns for your Sourcing project, and your Tags table, featuring your enabled tags. Clicking into this area will navigate you back to your Parts List and apply a filter based on the selected term. For example, if you click 'High' under the 'Risk Index' section:
the Parts List you'll see will now have the 'High' filter applied:
Costed BOMs
The 'Costed BOMs' tab will give you a quick breakdown of the cost for each of your individual BOMs and Demands used to source your project allowing you to compare total cost, unit cost, and excess cost across multiple BOMs:
Analysis
Analysis is where you can control how you view your Sourcing project across your different quantity breaks.
You can click through your different quantity breaks to change the information displayed on the entire page:
You'll see your top KPIs right under the Quantity break title you've selected towards the top of the page:
Clicking into the highlighted attention areas under each box to apply a filter and will navigate you back to the Parts List page. Please note, any filters applied from the Analysis tab will filter across all quantity breaks. For example, if you were to click 'parts with savings' from the screenshot above, the filter will be applied across each quantity in the Parts List, until you remove that filter by clicking the 'x' icon under 'Filtered By':
On the right-side of the page, you can tab through Cost breakdowns including Supplier, Manufacturer and Commodity. Clicking into any names highlighted in blue in this section will navigate you back to the Parts List view page filtered by your selection, again, across all quantity breaks.
The bottom of your Analysis tab provides additional diagnostic info and filtering options for your Sourcing project, including Risk Index information, Top Cost Drivers, and compliance:
