The Part Master is your Supplyframe part repository. This repository provides the ability to upload and manage your IPNs/CPNs as a library of parts to reference within the platform. The Part Master can be used to provide targeted insights into each part in your account's repository. This can include a summary of the part details, added alternates, documents attached, and appearances of that part within your files.
The data displayed in Part Master, and how it can be utilized throughout the platform, is dependent upon your company's administrative configuration. This includes viewing and editing with Part Master. The part library is viewed from the top menu by clicking on Part Master.
Navigating Part Master
The Part Master automatically sorts by the Created Date column, but you can change the sorting to be by Part Number by clicking on the sort arrows in that column. You can also use the Part Category column's filter dropdown on the Part Master list page to display parts from specific Part Categories.
To quickly search for a part number, use the Search Parts bar at the top of the page. You can search by IPN or MPNs. Enter in the part number and then click on Search.
You will see in your list of results your applied "Search Term". When looking up MPNs, they will be referenced in the count for "Alternates".
Click on a part number (IPN) in the Internal Part Number column for details. The following information as available is displayed for each IPN:
- Part Details – The Part Category and columns related to that category template.
- Alternates – View all related alternate MPNs and your indicated preferred alternate.
- Documents – Upload any files related to the IPN/CPN and if to be shared with suppliers.
- Where used – See where this part can be found within each of the following types of files by clicking on the corresponding tab: Contract Pricing, Purchase Orders, Approved Manufacturers and Approved Vendors.
You can also view any historical changes made to the part. This provides an enhanced audit trail, ensuring critical data changes are tracked for greater oversight. Clicking on History, you can see the person who made the change; a description of the change; and the date and time of changes.
