This article explains how notifications work in Supplyframe, including email and in-app alerts. Notification availability depends on the modules in use, and the article shows how to manage settings, turn alerts on or off, and understand which updates are sent by email versus shown within the solution.
Email Notification Settings
You can choose in your Notification settings when you want to be emailed regarding specific updates within your account. These are notifications for activity made at your company’s account level and are sent to you directly by email.
Hover on your profile icon in the top right and click on Account from the dropdown. Then click on Notifications in the small left navigation bar for the page.
You can toggle notifications on or off by clicking the radial buttons in the Status column for each notification type.
You can modify settings for the following modules:
New User (All): Receive an email when a new User accepts your invitation.
New BOM (BOM Insight): Receive an email when a new BOM is uploaded to your account.
New Forecast (Demand Management): Receive an email when a new Demand is uploaded to your account.
Forecast Status Changed (Demand Management): Receive an email when the status of a Demand has changed.
RFQ Internal Assignment (Quoting): Receive an email when you’ve been assigned lines in an RFQ.
RFQ Status Change (Quoting): Receive an email when the status of an RFQ has changed.
RFQ Due Date Change (Quoting): Receive an email when the due date of an RFQ has changed.
RFQ Opened (Quoting): Receive an email when a supplier first opens an RFQ to which you've assigned them.
RFQ Response Received (Quoting): Receive an email when a supplier submits their response.
RFQ Complete (Quoting): Receive an email when a supplier completes an RFQ to which you've assigned them.
Supplier Accepted Invitation (Quoting): Receive an email when a supplier activates their Supplyframe account via your invitation.
Supplier Acceptance Update (Quoting): Receive an email when a supplier updates the acceptance status for the items that were awarded.
For example, whether an RFQ was created by you or another licensed team member, you will receive an alert when a supplier completes an RFQ if that notification is enabled in your settings.
Please note that many of these notifications do not appear in the in-solution notification area and are sent by email only when turned on. This helps ensure that important updates are not missed.
Suppliers using the Quoting module also have email notification alerts in their accounts and will be notified by email accordingly.
In-App Notifications
Depending on your module permissions, in-app alerts will be displayed using the Notifications bell icon in the upper right of the top navigation bar.
Examples of in-app alerts include notifications triggered by status changes, such as when you become the new Demand owner through the Ownership functionality.
In other modules, notifications may appear when you are tagged in comments on a part or list, or when there are updates to comments you have left. This includes both Team Comments and Supplier Messaging.
