Within the Part Intelligence for an IPN or MPN in your BOM, you can review additional data as available. This can provide an in-depth look at a part across multiple factors, such as risk & viability.
Internal Part Number (IPN) Intelligence
When you click on an Internal Part Number's intelligence cube, a side bar for its Part Intelligence will open on the right side of your BOM. This provides quick access to this Internal Part Number (IPN)'s intelligence information.
There are four tab sections in the IPN intelligence side panel. The following information can be viewed as available in the four tabs:
- Info: Displays category and summary data with links opening in a new tab.
- Details: Shows all fields and values from the IPN category template.
- Alternates: Lists all MPN alternates and details, with a checkmark icon indicating the preferred alternate.
- Documents: Lists all associated documents, which are downloadable by clicking on the document name.
Manufacturer (MPN) Part Number Intelligence
To access an MPN's detailed Part Intelligence as available, click on the box icon next to the MPN in the Manufacturer Part Number column.
This will open a side bar showing Part intelligence details for that specific part, which provides the following information below depending on availability:

Alternates Comparison
An area of note within an MPN's Intelligence is the alternates section, as data is available. There may be tabs displaying FFF Equivalents and/or Functional Equivalents.
The FFF Equivalents are alternates that Supplyframe has determined to be the same form, fit and function of this specific part. Whereas Functional Equivalents will match the function of the part, but will not have the same form or fit. Since functionally-only matches can potentially cause costly redesigns, the FFF Equivalents are considered the gold standard. These results will show within a part's details in your BOM as well. See this article about Alternates for more details.
Within this section, you'll see for any available alternates on its far right a Compare icon. This functionality allows you to compare side-by-side the original part and suggested alternate. Clicking on the link will display the details of similarities and differences between those two parts.
The default display view will show All Stats, and you can click on Differences Only to highlight those specific details.
