Supplier Tags (Admin)

Within Supplier Settings, as an admin you have the ability to create Supplier Tags for your suppliers. These tags are visible when an item is priced from that supplier from your various price sources in BOM Insight, or where pricing takes place and can be displayed in the Supplier Intelligence information. These tags are applicable to System Suppliers and Web Suppliers.

Managing Tags

To access these tags, from the profile dropdown click on Supplier Settings and then on Manage Tags in the left side bar.

You will see the list of "Tag Names" that have been created in your account. Click on Add New Tag when wanting to create additional tags. Enter in the new Tag Name and then click on Save to complete. To remove a tag, click on the trash can to its far right.

Tags QTY limitations:

• 1000 tags total per customer
• 10 tags per supplier

Tag fields have validation:

1. Only alpha-numeric values are accepted.
2. No spaces supported and only two symbols are supported to connect words.
   (Those are "- and _".)
3. Case Insensitive (converts all to lowercase)
   • You must be able to assign custom tag or multiple tags when creating supplier.
     
     • When creating a tag, a list of previously created tags should be suggested while typing.

Adding Tags to Suppliers

To add tags to your suppliers, on a supplier's detail page click on Edit for the Supplier Details section.

Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Supplier Details side bar to the Tags section. From here you can add or remove tags as needed. Click on the Select Tag dropdown to choose the appropriate tag needed. Then click on Save.

You will then see the Tags added in the Supplier Details section.

Tag Filters in a BOM

Tags can be used to filter within your BOM. In the filters toolbar, you will see the Supplier Tags section. These show you how many suppliers in your list are currently sourcing a part for an associated tag. Clicking on a tag will filter your BOM to show you specifically those line items for suppliers associated with that tag.
