TAM, or Total Addressable Market, refers to the total market demand for a product. SAM, or Serviceable Addressable Market, represents the portion of TAM that a company can realistically target.

The Historic TAM & SAM report helps you visualize the TAM versus SAM versus Awards from historical contract pricing in terms of the spend and quantity.

Use the Reports dropdown in the top navigation back to access the Historic TAM & SAM page. In the Create A Report left side bar, select the Contract Pricing(s) that you wish to use. The filter field can help you narrow your selections.

Next, select the supplier(s) that you want to see results for and if you want the TAM to be based on All Lines or Supplier Categories. Then click on Show Report.

Report Definitions

All Lines Calculations are based on each unique IPN, Plant & Subcontractor for all the lines in the Contract Pricing selected. The report will show multiple lines for the chosen supplier only if there are multiple years in the Contract Pricing selections.
Supplier Categories
Calculations are based on IPNs and aggregating them based on the chosen supplier, its category and selected Contract Pricing. Spend for this option is thus aggregated only for the categories that the supplier was requested to bid on.

Report Parameters

  • For the SAM & Awards calculations, your Supplier ID (as the customer) from a Contract Price needs to exists and to match the Supplier ID displayed on your Supplier list.
