NPI-DS 2.22 brings updates to BOM Insight and Quoting, plus a few quality‑of‑life tweaks. We’ve expanded the data available in BOM Insight for better results and visibility. Quoting now allows the use of Supplier Tags in your formulas, and will now always preserve original target currencies. Across the platform, we’ve added the display of more price sources and improved how System Suppliers are linked.

BOM Insight
'Last Time Buy' Date in BOM Export
What is it? - A 'Last Time Buy' field has been added to parts in BOM Insight.
Where can I find it? - Within BOM Insight and in your BOM Insight exports when available on your parts:
Why do I need this? - This will help plan for obsolescence early, which is why we are displaying this data prominently in your BOMs.
Increase Index Risk Parameters
What is it? - We've increased the amount of risk parameters you can add to a Risk Index from 8 to 15.
Where can I find it? - Admins can adjust their Risk Index, within 'System Settings' in the 'Risk Index' options section.
Why do I need this? - This allows more control for organizations with advanced risk calculation logic.
Reorganization of Functional Equivalents and More FFFs
What is it? - We've redesigned the equivalents section to make it easier to navigate, and have increased the amount of parts available, and have added the ability to filter. This new Equivalents tab combines the previous Form, Fit, Functions tab and the Functional Equivalents into one.
Where can I find it? - Within BOM Insight and Sourcing when clicking into a part number, you'll see the new interface for your Equivalents:
Why do I need this? - Previously, we limited the equivalent results to 100 per part, but that limit has now been removed. In addition to above functionality, more FFFs and Functional Equivalents have become available in the Supplyframe database due to our re-indexing of Accuris data as of August 2025.

Supplier Tags in Formulas and Fees
What is it? - Supplier tags can now be used as criteria when configuring Formulas & Fees that calculate inside RFQs.
Where can I find it? - Available in Demand Templates and Part Category Templates:
How does it work? - When editing your columns, you can select Formula or Fees and then when creating conditions select 'Supplier Tag'.
Why do I need this? - This allows teams to create advanced TCO models based on Supplier specific tags.
Target Currency separate from Supplier Currency
What is it? - Target prices uploaded with BOM Insight and Demands will now retain their original currency in your RFQs and workflows, independent of supplier currency settings or changes.
Where can I find it? - You'll see a new column named 'Target Currency' in your RFQs as part of your line items.
How does it work? - You can edit 'Target Currency' via upload or directly in your RFQ.
Why do I need this? - Previously, Target Price would adjust based on Supplier's currency responses. We decided 'Target Price' should always be maintained as uploaded.
Improvements
System Suppliers Status Adjustment
What is it? - For admins, we've adjusted the language for linking to System Suppliers. Now Link Status is either Linked or Not Linked.
Where can I find it? As an admin, navigate to 'Suppliers' then 'System Suppliers' to see your Link Status:
How does it work? - If a System Supplier is Linked, you can click into the Supplier to see the details you have added for that Supplier
Prioritize By in Sourcing
What is it? - We've adjusted some price selection rules so that 'Meet MOQ' and 'Stock' are now just for prioritization and will not lead to result exclusion, leaving all price source options visible.
Where can I find it? - In price source selection pop-ups when choosing suppliers
How does it work? - Previously, if “Meet MOQ” or “Match Stock” were selected for Specific Price and Web Price, in addition to Supplyframe not picking a price from such items, these results will also be filtered out in the modal. These items will now be visible in the price modal.
Why do I need this? - This update improves transparency of part availability across NPI-DS.
