Supplyframe's NPI-DS 2.18 release introduces several new UI features to help Buyers navigate through quotes with ease. First, we've made it easier to compare IPN responses all in one place with a new card view in your RFQs. We've also added a small feature to adjust your source BOMs and Demands with a few less clicks. For managing your suppliers, we've added organization options to make custom assignment adjustments to your RFQs, and Region options to organize your Suppliers. Quoting
IPN Group Quote Analysis View
What is it? - A new 'Card' View is now available for quick views (and edits) of supplier response data for your IPNs in a RFQ.
Why do I need this? - In some cases, a quicker comparison of item responses is needed for RFQs rather than scrolling and comparing line-by-line in the default RFQ view. The card view allows quick views to specific values, quick edits, and 'Badges' that allow you to see which suppliers have the Lowest Price, Incumbent, Lowest Lead Time, Lowest Excess Cost, Lowest MOQ.
Where can I find it? - In Quoting, within an RFQ that has received responses, the IPN Group Quote Analysis View can be found in IPN cells of a line item by clicking the 'IPN Group Analysis Button'.
How does it work? - To access IPN Group Analysis, once you've received responses from your suppliers, you will be able to click the graph button next to your IPN:
You will then be navigated to a new page for IPN Group Analysis.
For each group (IPN + Plant + Sub-contractor), you can view all supplier responses in a card layout.
Colored badges at the top of each card highlight best-in-class values: Lowest Price, Incumbent, Lowest Lead Time, Lowest Excess Cost, Lowest MOQ.
Within cards, you can edit quotas, compare differences (with % delta and up/down arrows), and understand the impact of switching suppliers.
Applying a Best Bid or Ref. Quota Scenario first populates the Quota column, triggering comparisons. Without a quota, comparisons won’t be calculated until one is entered.
At the top of each card page, you'll see Summary KPIs are offered for items meeting target price, price-range buckets, response status, and lead-time distribution:
Additionally, reference Data—market average, Contract Pricing (blue line indicates contract length), and Purchase-Order Pricing (pink dots)—is displayed below the selected supplier card for quick comparison.
This new view turns quote reviews from tedious to strategic, helping you balance cost, risk, and preferred relationships, and make better awards faster—especially during negotiations.
New Supplier Assignment Options
What is it? - A new Assignments feature that allows users to overwrite or add existing suppliers in an RFQ.
Why do I need this? - This new feature allows you to combine AVL, Line Cards, and Manual methods for supplier assignment without having to overwrite existing suppliers. This supports layered sourcing strategies—start with AVL, enrich with Line Cards, top off with manual picks—without losing previous context.
Where can I find it? - Within Quoting, in an RFQ where you have made previous assignments, you can find the new Overwrite and Add New Suppliers options under 'Apply By' after you've selected your line items that you would like to update with new suppliers.
How it works - Within an RFQ that you have already made assignments in, click the 'Supplier Assignment' dropdown, and then click 'Assign Suppliers'.
The Assign Suppliers side panel will open with new options to overwrite your existing suppliers or add new suppliers:
- Overwrite existing Suppliers (default): replaces all prior assignments.
- Add new Suppliers to existing ones: appends new matches, keeping existing suppliers intact.
Region-Based Supplier Contact Notifications for RFQs
What is it? - A new Region field has been added, enabling region-specific RFQ notifications.
Why do I need this? - The Region field allows for targeted communication with suppliers, allowing you to send notifications by Matching Region or No Region.
Where can I find it? - When creating a new RFQ in the Details page and within individual Supplier Contacts.
How it works - First, you will need to ensure you have regions set up in your System Settings. An Admin can set this up by clicking the Profile icon in the top-right, then System Settings → Quoting → RFQ Regions.
Once you have setup your RFQ Regions, you will now see your Regions as selectable values when creating your RFQ:
Important Notes
- Supplier contacts do not see the RFQ Region in the portal.
- Once used, a Region cannot be removed from System Settings.
Bulk Save for Quantity Multipliers Across Multiple BOMs
What is it? - A single Save button now allows you to save all editable quantity multipliers across BOMs or Demands in one click, replacing per-line saves.
Why do I need this? - This new default save option replaces the previous per-line saves method, saving you a few extra clicks when dealing with large RFQs with multiple source BOMs/Demands.
Where can I find it? - Within Quoting, you will see Bulk Save available by default in the 'Line Items' step when you're creating a new RFQ.
How it works - When creating your new RFQ, you'll see just one Save button at the bottom of your BOM/Demand list. You can make any changes you need, and then hit 'Save' to apply all your adjustments.
Conditional Formulas for Greater Flexibility in RFQ Calculations
What is it? - Demand Management formulas can now execute only when specific RFQ field conditions are met.
Why do I need this? - This now allows you to extend conditional logic beyond Fees and Percentages. This feature is ideal for use cases like categorizing spend or applying logic selectively across RFQ lines.
Where can I find it? - In Demand Management, within your 'Demand Templates', when editing or creating a new template.
How it works - Navigate to 'Demand Management' and then click 'Demand Templates':
Create or open an existing template, and on the next page click the 'Edit' button next to the Column you would like to create or adjust a formula in:
The 'Edit Column' side panel will open where you can make your formula adjustments:
From here, you can select Formula and check Add Conditions. You can build conditions with AND/OR operators (e.g., ABC Coding = A). The 'Edit Column' includes mode selector (None / Formula / Fee) and supports Numeric or Percentage values for Fees.
