Supplyframe NPI-DS 2.26 is bringing lots of new updates to BOM Insight, Sourcing, and Quoting, and some helpful improvements across the platform.

We've added better parametric search and matching to both BOM Insight and Sourcing, giving you better exact matches and more filtering options.

Sourcing is seeing some updates to improve it's implementation with different aspects of NPI-DS, including connections to AML, and more control over your Agents.

Quoting is now giving you more control over managing large lists of suppliers, and easier use of Supplier tags.

Our new Reporting Dashboard view is getting further improvements with additional reports- including Spend & Savings reports, and more options to click into any part of your report for additional details.

We've also included some quality of life changes across the platform with several new improvements, giving you a cleaner multilevel BOM experience, easier to use Req Manufacturer/CAGE code behaviors, simplified currencies in exports, and easier to use awarding.

Parametric Search Improvements for Alternate Discovery

What is it? - We're updating how we find Parametric Matches by now showing you only parts that have exact matches to your most relevant part attributes.

Where can I find it? - You can find Parametric Matches tab after directly clicking into a Part Number in your list view in BOM Insight or Sourcing.

Why do I need this? - This update enables deeper, more accurate alternate discovery when managing risk, shortages, or obsolescence.

How does it work? - NPI-DS will detect the most relevant attributes of your part, which will be identified by the 'Most Relevant' columns on the Parametric Matches pop-up:

From there, you can remove search attributes using the 'x' seen above the results section to broaden the Parametric Matches search.

If NPI-DS is unable to find a exact attribute matches to your part, the 'Parametric Matches' tab will direct you to the Parametric Search page directly in the pop-up modal:

Sourcing

Requested Manufacturer Options in Sourcing

What is it? - We've added a 'Choice of Manufacturer' option to your Sourcing projects. You can now choose your manufacturer for your Sourcing project to your requested manufacturer from your original upload, or the BOM manufacturer, based on the results from your BOM within BOM Insight.

Where can I find it? -  You can find 'Choice of Manufacturer' option within the 'Cost Settings' tab of your sourcing project when first creating your Sourcing project, or after it's been created by clicking 'Edit' and then the 'Cost Settings' tab.

Why do I need this? - This Cost Settings option allows more flexibility for you to preserve your Req. Manufacturer uploaded vs. choosing to prevent any loss of manufacturer decisions made earlier in the BOM optimization process.

How does it work? - Choosing 'BOM Manufacturer' will have your Sourcing project display BOM Insight's recognized manufacturer, while selecting 'Req' Manufacturer' will display your originally uploaded manufacturer from your BOM file upload.

Additionally, your individual line items will also show the 'Req. Manufacturer' when available:

Bringing in Alternates from AML

What is it? - You can now bring in AML alternates into your Sourcing projects.

Where can I find it? - You'll find the 'Add AML Alternates' option in the 'Group Edit' dropdown in your Parts List view of your Sourcing project.

Why do I need this? - This update will help you streamline workflows by enabling alternate additions from AML when not using Part Master.

How does it work? - Once you've setup your corresponding AMLs via the 'Reference Tables' -> AMLs page:

You'll then, in your Sourcing project, be able to select one or multiple line items in your list view, click select 'Add AML Alternates' via the Group Edit menu. You'll be able to select one or multiple AML documents to apply to your selected line items.

Once added, you'll see which line items your AMLs were applied to in the IPN column with a 'AML alternate added' message:

New Agents Option: Stop Processing Additional Rules

What is it? - We're adding a new rule option for your agents which will give better control between multiple rules within a single agent.

Where can I find it? - Admins can find this setting in 'System Settings', navigating via the side panel to the 'Agents' page, then creating or opening an existing rule, where they can then see the new option under the 'action' section when editing their rule:

Why do I need this? - This function gives you precise control over rule execution order and prevents unintended rule stacking.

How does it work? - When a rule with the “Stop Processing Additional Rules” option has been enabled, and this specific rule has its conditions met, no further rules in that same agent are evaluated for that line item.

Quoting

Exporting System Suppliers

What is it? - You'll now be able to export both System Suppliers, which is managed by Supplyframe, and Managed Suppliers, which is the list managed by your team. Previously 'Managed Suppliers' was titled 'Customer Suppliers'.

Where can I find it? - Admins can find these export options in the Suppliers module under the top-left side ''Export' button:

Why do I need this? - This will reduce the amount of manual linking your Suppliers to the System Suppliers list, allowing you to adopt Supplyframe's maintained system line cards and contacts.

How does it work? - After selecting your export option, you'll receive a spreadsheet file containing all your supplier info, including Supplier Name, Supplier ID, Type, Enabled State. This will allow you make changes to your Suppliers in bulk via spreadsheet upload.

Please note, that if you are reuploading an entire export from your managed suppliers that you've made changes to, that you select 'Update Existing Suppliers' on the 'Upload Suppliers' page:

Bulk Upload of Supplier Tags

What is it? - You can now bulk upload supplier tags when uploading suppliers into your Managed Suppliers lists.

Where can I find it? - When having exported your Managed Suppliers list, you'll see a column for tags, which you can then fill and comma separate in your spreadsheet for upload.

Why do I need this? - This will help makes supplier management of tags scalable across large supplier lists

How does it work? - The tag limit for supplier is currently 10, and the tag must already exist in 'System Settings' under the 'Supplier Tags' section.

No Quota Filter for Group Level

What is it? - We've added a new filter to help you identify groups of parts without quota assignments.

Where can I find it? - You'll find this filter on the 'Responses' page of your RFQs in Quoting by clicking the 'Show All' dropdown menu, where you'll see the 'No Quota Group' option:

Why do I need this? - This filter will helps you quickly identify gaps in supplier coverage and quota allocation at the IPN level, where Quota is applied.

Reporting & Dashboards

New Spend & Savings Reports

What is it? - We've added two new reports to your Reports Dashboard- a Supplier Spend & Savings report and a Spend & Savings by Plant report

Where can I find it? - You'll see these two new reports in the middle of your main Report Dashboard view:

Why do I need this? - Admins can now receive faster insights with less UI friction when navigating spend analytics.

How does it work? - You can view your report in the dashboard, or click directly through widgets to receive full reports:

Lead Times by Supplier

What is it? - We've added a new widget that displays the top five suppliers ranked by MPN count.

Where can I find it? - You'll also see this in your Reports Dashboard.

Why do I need this? - This update quickly highlights supplier performance and coverage risks at a glance.

How does it work? - Clicking the Lead Times by Supplier will open a side panel that displays data for all of your suppliers. The 'Coverage %' column is the number of line items with lead time divided by the total number of line items sent to your supplier.

Supplier Portal

"My RFQs" as default view for Suppliers

What is it? - The Supplier Portal now defaults to My RFQs instead of All RFQs.

Where can I find it? - Suppliers will land on this page when when logging into their accounts and when clicking 'RFQs' at the top of the page.

Why do I need this? - This will help suppliers focus on relevant immediate work.

Improvements

Tree View Improvements for Simple Multilevel BOMs

What is it? - We've improved the BOM Tree View experience for BOMs that only have Level 0 and Level 1.

Where can I find it? - You can find the tree view in 'BOM Structure' in the left-hand side panel in your BOMs in BOM Insight.

Why do I need this? - Provides a cleaner, more intuitive BOM navigation experience for simpler product structures.

How does it work? - You'll no longer see 'Expand All' or 'Disable All' when deeper levels don't exist in your BOM

Clarifying Requested Manufacturer/ CAGE Code Pricing Behavior

What is it? - We've updated some help text in BOM Insight's 'Cost Settings' page to better explain how Requested Manufacturer and CAGE Code are applied during pricing.

Where can I find it? - You'll see this help text when creating your BOM or updating the 'Cost Settings' for your existing BOMs:

Why do I need this? - This update better explains configuring pricing rules and ensures buyers clearly understand how manufacturer intent is respected across different price sources.

How does it work? - We're clarifying that CAGE Code prioritization applies only to your Contract Pricing and Purchase Orders

Remove Currency Symbols in RFQ on Export

What is it? - We've removed currency Symbols from numeric price fields in RFQ CSV exports

Where can I find it? - You'll see this change in your RFQ exports from Quoting.

Why do I need this? - This helps prevents issues when RFQ export files are uploaded back into external systems or spreadsheets, ensuring prices are treated as numeric values.

How does it work? - The currency symbol has been removed from the following Quoting export columns: Price, Unit Cost, Reference Unit Price, Reference Unit Cost. We've kept Converted Price the same

Clearer Awarding Behavior When Using “Only Selected Items”

What is it? - We simplified part of the awarding process in RFQs when you're awarding only a subset of line items.

Where can I find it? - In your quotes, on the 'Responses' tab, after you have selected specific supplier responses, rather than all suppliers:

Why do I need this? - This will help with preventing unintended award outcomes by ensuring the Award options accurately reflects what the user has selected, especially in complex, multi-supplier RFQs.

How does it work? - When you click 'Award and Notify', in the 'Select Supplier' section you'll now only see the suppliers in your selection, where previously we showed you all suppliers in your entire quote:
